The Circus Is Burning
Why the American People Are Finally Waking Up
I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore.” And let us be honest the American public is sitting right on that breaking point. The two party system has not merely failed at this stage it feels engineered to fail. Divide the people distract the masses keep the oligarchs fed that is the game.
Rome did the same thing in its dying days with bread and circuses while the empire rotted from within. Sound familiar I have said for months that the economy is cracking beneath us. Right after Black Friday 2025 heading into Christmas and the fourth quarter the warning signs were not subtle they were blaring.
Markets wobbling consumer debt exploding interest rates crushing families small businesses suffocating. The whole system is starting to splinter like glaciers colliding loud violent inevitable. And the public is waking up. The unemployed. The underpaid. The exhausted. The people treading water while Congress lounges on foreign policy vanity projects. They are all starting to ask the question Romes citizens once asked: Who let the empire fall this far Yes some responsibility lies with us but let us not pretend the real blame does not sit squarely on the shoulders of our so called leaders. The same representatives who have spent decades selling the country out piece by piece shipping billions overseas to Israel Argentina Ukraine any nation except their own bankrupting America while lecturing workers about fiscal responsibility.
Rome drained its treasury through endless foreign entanglements too right up until the barbarians were at the gates. This crisis did not happen overnight. It is a festering wound decades in the making. Clinton gave us NAFTA gutting American manufacturing and accelerating the offshoring death spiral. He gave us the Telecommunications Act paving the way for media monopolies that now shape reality itself. Then Bush dragged us into a war built on lies helped along by Dick Cheney the man behind the curtain bleeding trillions from the nation’s future for a geopolitical fantasy. Obama rescued Wall Street while millions of Americans lost their homes. Then he expanded war theaters across the globe continuing the imperial overstretch that economists and historians have warned about since the days of Gibbon. Then came Blinken and the Auto Pen Presidency an administration so hollow that half the country was not even sure who was running it while Biden wandered off stages like a man searching for an exit ramp from reality. And now we are back to Trump who promised America First promised to end wars promised fiscal discipline only to do the opposite. He betrayed his own base MAGA and otherwise.
Many Americans who crawled through the wreckage of rigged primaries and political puppets were desperate for someone who could simply speak like a president and deliver even a fraction of what he claimed. Instead they got another chapter in a bad sequel. So here we are America. I am not happy and I know you are not either. We are living through our own late stage empire moment and the only way out is together not fractured by the distractions and political circus acts this government parades in front of us.
The empire is creaking. The people are stirring. And the time for passive outrage is over.
